Its Been WAY too long... time to catch up!

So in February Me and seth went on o sleigh ride for valentines day! It was way fun! But really cold. We made some friends and ate some really good food!

At the end of May me, my mom, and my dad went down to Cali for my grandpas 80th birthday. We had lots of fun and lots of food. (and lots of sees!) Its always great to see family!

I also spent some time being red for work. As always it was fun and hot! I did Kids Fair, Dairy Days, many in store activities!

And as I always do on all my adventures... I made friends!

I hope I can keep everyone more updated with what is going on in my life. Its not much but sometimes something exciting happens!

Turkey, Time with family, and Trucks?

So Thanksgiving was fun. the usual Westover stuff. Games, food, people crying, people laughing, firetrucks? Hmmm... thats right I said firetrucks! Our thanksgiving dinner satrted out with firetrucks. We had dinner at the church. and for those of you who dont know you are only supposed to warm not cook food at the chuch. So the oven was turned on to keep the turkey warm. Well, I guess there was a bunch of crumbs in the oven and it started smoking. Which incedentaly set the fire alam off. So we had not one, but two, fire trucks come to our dinner. We had to stand out in the cold until they cleared the building. Well, after all that... we had a pretty normal night. We played the dice game, money game, and human bowling. We had a blast and too much to eat. I hope your thanksgiving was just as fun as mine! (it you were at the same one as me then... it was!) I hope you enjoy my pictures, 'cause I sure do!

Mcall

So this is a little late but, me and Seth went to Mcall for a week after he came home. We didn't do much cause it was an off season and not much was open and it was really too cold to do hiking. We did walk around town, visited all the shops, we went ice skating, we painted pottery, and we had breakfast at the Christmas House. It was a fun trip.

Surprise Surgery

So on Tuesday I woke up thinking of all the stuff I had to get done before Seth came home. But then I had this horrible pain in my abdomen. I could hardly walk. I called Emily and asked where the appendix was and I she said she would google it. Well she said I should go see Franklin and the fastest person who could take me was Evan. Little did we both know we would be spending the rest of the day at the hospital. I was told it was my appendix and that it had to come out. I was sent to surgery and then I had to wait until 7 to have my surgery. It was a hard day cause Seth was coming home that night and my mom was out of town. But everything went fine. Seth came home and he made it to the hospital at around midnight. But this is not how I wanted my vacation to go. Oh well. Thanks to everyone who was very helpful and loving during my hard time!

Today is my husbands birthday. He is 23 years old. I am so proud of what he has done with his life! (firstly he married me! LOL!) He is such a great man and i love him very much!

Today we went to the Zoo since we all had the day off. It was fun. But it was a little bit of a rip off because half of it was closed for constuction but yet you still had to pay full price. So we didn't get to see the giraffes. But we had fun anyway! We rode the may-go-round. Wich the boys loved. (the girls didnt get to ride) Katelyn rodde on my shoulders for a little bit and i told her not to lean back, (that would be the first pic of her), then she just got tierd I guess! (the 2nd picture) It was a fun day!

Fruiti Sushi

Tonight we made Fruiti Sushi. They are made of fruit roll-ups, then you mix rice chex and vanilla chips (melted), put the mixture on the roll-ups spread evenly, then put put gummy worms on one short end, then roll and cut. They are really good! You should try them. (if you want a more detailed recipe write me and i will post it)

today we looked out the window and we saw a big branch fallimg into the front yard. So we hurried out onto the front pourch and saw that they were cutting down the neighbors tree. the boys thought it was pretty cool! (and I got to help!) Oh and the one is of the big branch that they cut down.

So it has been one year since I have married my best friend and love of my life! It has been one hard year. We havent been together much of it, but our love has only grown. I love him so much and I am thankful everyday that he loves me too! I cant wait for the next 50+ years!

My Marine (the Update)

So the update on my marine.... well? He is doing good. He likes it. But he misses home. he has learned a lot about the tamks so far. They learned how to work the radios. He had to do a test on that and he passed. But the tank he did the test in had a bunch of naked pictures in it so he said it was hard. They learned how to do hand signals so thay can guide the tanks and keed them from running into things. He doesn't tell me much. But he is still alive and that is all that counts! I miss him and I cant wait until he comes home. Only 2 more months. (sept. 22)

Fourth of July!

Fourth of July was a lot of fun. The most exciting thing was that Seth was home for the weekend! We went to Krissy's house and swam and had hamburers and hotdogs. And then we went to the school and played games. We did most of the usually water games. It was a lot of fun! Then when it got dark we went over to April's and did the fireworks. Thanks to Popsie for getting the best firework show ever! We love you! Hope everyone else had a great 4th!

Hamburger and Hot Dog Cupcakes

For the 4th of July I decided to get really creative. I thought I would atemt to make cupcakes. Not just any cupcakes. Cupcakes with Hamburgers and Hot Dogs on top. i was nevous and I thought that they would never turn out as cute as the picture in the book. But they were actually not that hard to make. I LOVED them. I am pretty proud of myself too. I don't really think I'm that crafty so when I can pull off something like this.... I hope everyone enjoyed them at the dinner. And I hope they were good. I didn't actually get one. :)

And a special thanks to my mom who helped me make them because I was running out of time!

Salute The Troops Day

Every year at Red Robin We have a Salute the Troops Day. July 3rd. Every Militay personal gets to come in for a free burger. This year Seth got a free burger. One: because he is now a Marine and Two: because he got to come home for the weekend if the forth. We had fun and good food. (sorry this is a lame post, but I never have anything to blog about!)

So Seth is officailly a Marine now! He has campleted Marine Corp Recruit Traning. I couldn't be prouder of him! So we went down to the grauation and picked up seth. It was to most amazing thing ever! If you ever have the chance to experiance a Marine Corp Gradruation, do it. I can never put it into words the experiance.

Well, the whole trip wasn't great! It all started with me and my mom thinkinking it would be a good idea to drive down by ourselves. We drove the first day to Las Vegas. We left at like 8:30. We drove for a while. We made a lot of bathroom stops. And when we go to Draper we thought maybe we could go see Jen and Eric. Well first we had to go Ikea and spend money amd then I wasn't feeling good so then we had to find a albertsons and get son sprite. And then on our way to Jen's... we go lost right away. We called Jen about five times in 10 mins. When we finally got in the right track we ran into trafic and we had to turn around and not go see Jen because we still had a long way to go. (Sorry Jen!) So then we were on our way again. Well we got tired and needless to say a little loopy. We played some strange games. We finally go to Vegas and fell asleep as soon as we got into the room. We made to San Diego at about 8 the next day.

Thursday was Family day it was a lot of fun. I was mostly excited to see Seth. They did a Moto run in the morning. That just means they ran past us. Then they did a thing called the liberty formation. And then they let them on Base Liberty. That meant that he could walk around the base with us. The branch on the base had lunch for us and did a little ceramony thing. Here are some pics from Family day.

The last four pictures are of the boys who were LDS in the Compony. They cut a cake with a sword. (a marine tradition) Then the oldest Marine (Seth) had to take a bite of the cake and deem it worthy. And then give the youngest a bite and then he deems it worthy. (another marine tradition)

Girls Night!

We had a girls night on Friday. Me and some of the girls from work! We started late (10:30pm) and ended early! (3:00am) It was a lot of fun. We ate a ton of food, talked about people from work, and watched a movie. (Grease Chelsea had never seen it) So we sang along to every song. And the pirate ship was a big hit. Chelsea and Reese got stuck in it and then we had to take a group picture around it! We had a blast but we were all Zombies at work the next day!Oh well, we are going to do it again! And hopefully more people will come cause we had so much fun!

Seth's Gone to Boot Camp

So seth left for boot camp for the US Marine Corp yesterday. He had to stay at a hotel sunday night and the he spent all of yesterday morning at the Federal building. Then his flight was at two so I got to go to the air port to see him off. I got to talk to he a couple times yesterday. He called on his layover and when he got to the airport in San Deiago. And then when he was at the airport waiting for his ride he was on the computer sending messages to my phone! Then a little while later he got to the recruit depot and he got to call me from there and he got to say what they told him to say. (at the end he said "I love you" I don't think he was supposed to. He might have had to do push-ups for that one!)
He is going to be back in three months and he will officially be a US Marine! I will keep everyone updated!I am very sad that he is gone, but I am so proud of his decision to serve his country and make a better life for his family!

Do As I'm Doing!

So we go to church with Brenda and Evan. So that means that we sit with them and the boys are usually playing with Seth. I have these colored pencils in my bag that the boys use to color. One Sunday Seth decided to put them in rainbow order. Well, Colby loves Seth and He always has to do what Seth does. Sooo....

Colby put the pencils in a row. He thought he was so cool because he was just like Seth! It's pretty cute how much Colby likes Seth! Well, that's not all that happened....

Oscar decided to do it too! He was a little more precise. He made sure that the tips of the pencils were all going the same way! He did a pretty good job too! And look at that smile! These boys are fun to have in church! (they keep Seth entertained!)

Civic Duty

So on Tuesday was my very first day of jury duty. Exciting! I got up really early to go to the court house. I had to be there by 8:15. I got to there just a few minutes before 8. Did you know that the court house doesn't open until 8? Well, I didn't. So I had to wait until it was open to go in. When I finally went in I went through the medal detectors (My feet didn't go off! sad.) and then I went up stairs to report. I got a badge and sat down to watch the movie they were playing. (It was Remember the Titans) Then court started an hour late. And the judge kept forgetting what she was talking about. I got let go because my dad is a cop. And I got let go just in time to make it to the airport to see Danny come home! What a great day! LOL! (sorry I don't have a picture for this one)

Alcatraz Island

On our honeymoon we went to Alcatraz Island. It was really cool. It was one of my favorite things of the whole trip! This picture is the view from the boat as we were on our way over to the island.

This is me and Seth just as we were getting to the island, before we got off the boat. It was very cold and hard to take this picture. Being on the water didn't help. Those are some of the old buildings behind us.

I just thought this picture was cool. I took while we were walking through the island... I liked it! LOL!

We took an audio tour of the cell house. It took you through the whole place and told you everything. It was very interesting, and also kinda creepy. Seth is in one of the cells. Just a normal cell. They were small and didn't have much to them.

This is a calender thing they had in the office at the prison. It had the exact date and day of our wedding. Saturday August 9th! It was pretty cool so I took a picture of it! (I think they changed it because they knew we were coming! LOL)
Well, that is my story of Alcatraz. We learned a lot and had so much fun! I recommend that if you go to San Fransisco, you should go to Alcatraz!
